We all know the great impact Facebook has had on our society and the advantages that different platforms provide in our daily lives. It’s changed how we interact with those we care about and allows us to make new fulfilling connections. However, this increased accessibility that others have to your profiles can cause issues for many people. For Example, maybe a previous boyfriend, girlfriend or FWB suddenly has the liquid courage to message you. Likewise, someone you may or may not personally know, finds you attractive and reaches out to you in a sexual manner.
Now, it’s possible that the person may be messaging you with totally innocent motives and posses no threat to your current relationship. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. So what do you do when someone from your past, that could cause problems in your current relationship, hits you up on Facebook? Answer: you block the fool! And you can do so using the steps below.
Desktop / Computer
Within the Privacy Section, click the “See more privacy settings” link.
Click the Blocking link from the left-hand side navigation menu.
In the Blocked Users text field, enter the Name of the person you would like to block.
Click the Block button.
